Courage Mitt
Play with accessibility in mind
Design fielding equipment for kids and adults who play sports in wheelchairs. The final product should allow people with different disabilities to play baseball more easily. Current sporting equipment lacks in usability and quality. The essence of the sport is lost. The design should communicate the aesthetics of a baseball mitt and be effective for all aspects of fielding in baseball for those with bilateral or unilateral use of their body.
Courage League presented current problems with sporting equipment for those in wheelchairs. There is limited selection, lack in quality, and overpricing in the market. There are low production runs of these specialty products; however, there is almost no competition, so companies are able to charge any price they wish. Courage League understands the importance of sports for anyone who wants to play and has sponsored this project to benefit its players. I want to make a high quality product that the kids at Courage League Sports will love to play with and that adults would be proud to own.
